About the Film

Tame is a whimsical, dialogue-free short film created in 2018 by Wendy Placko and team. The work features puppetry, improvised movement and an original score.

Synopsis

A lion tamer tries to keep an unusual animal in line.

Accolades & Press

  • Official Selection: Flyway Film Festival

    Tame screened on October 13, 2019 as a part of the twelfth annual Flyway Film Festival in Stockholm, Wisconsin. The Flyway Film Festival takes place in the scenic Lake Pepin region of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Tame was screened alongside international selections.

  • Official Selection: Film Score Fest

    Tame was created as a part of MNKino’s 2018 Film Score Fest, which pairs filmmakers with composers to create a new short film. The premiere took place on July 28, 2018 at the Science Museum of Minnesota with a live orchestra performing the score.

  • Screening Announcement

    Twin Cities Arts covered the Film Score Fest event in 2018. The announcement includes the full list of films whose scores were performed live by a professional orchestra. It also includes a link to a livestream of the full premiere event.
