About the Film
“The Dinner Party” is a short film that explores the topic of social anxiety through an absurdist comedic story. It features an original score composed by Stephanie Henry and was created safely during the COVID-19 pandemic with a small crew.
Our team is always challenging ourselves to grow through each project. This film features stop motion animation, new camera techniques and specific attention to color design to help tell the story.
Grant Funded Work
This activity is made possible through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council in cooperation with a private foundation. Wendy was awarded a $5,000 Advancing Artist grant to create this work.
Made in the Time of COVID
Much of the footage was shot merely days before the COVID-19 shutdown, but we experienced delays in wrapping due to the pandemic. Our small crew was able to safely adapt to the new conditions.
